Dennis Russo
Dennis grew up playing baseball right here in beautiful Polk County Florida. Dennis attended Santa Fe Catholic High School and was drafted by the reds in the 14th round in 1998. He played two years with the Reds before being traded to the Atlanta Braves in 2000 for Major League player Freddy Garcia. Dennis played in the New York Penn League with the Jamestown Jammers. Dennis had Tommy John Surgery after the ’02 season. He spent the ’03 season at Disney Wide World of Sports returning in October of the same year in instructional league.
Dennis was then released by Atlanta in spring training of 2004 and was picked up by the River City Rascals of the Frontier League. Dennis has been giving pitching lessons privately for the past two years and is looking forward to seeing you in LBA’s outstanding facility.
